Gary Soper as the
Head Coach of the 2019 Tier 1 Durham Mustangs team for the KSL 2025/2026 season.
Gary Soper - Coach Bio
With over 30 years of coaching experience across the OMHA, GTHL, OWHA, and NWHL, Gary Soper has worked with athletes ranging from ages 5 to 22. He is currently coaching with the Whitby Jr. Wolves (2010–2014) and holds a High Performance 2 Certification. In addition to his coaching credentials, Gary has served as an OHF HP1 Evaluator and was a Regional Scout for Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Program from 2014 to 2020. His extensive experience includes roles on the national stage, having been an Assistant Coach for Team Ontario at the Canadian National Championships in 2009 and the Canada Winter Games in 2010. In 2020-2021, Gary took on the position of Head Coach for the Toronto Six in the NWHL, further solidifying his leadership and expertise in elite-level hockey development.
