Durham Mustangs Appoints Dan Worsley as Head Coach of the 2018 Tier 1 Team for the 2026/27 KSL season
We are excited to welcome back Dan Worsley as Head Coach of the 2018 Durham Mustangs. Dan brings years of experience coaching this age group, including the Spring Season Development Group, where he has guided many young athletes in developing their skills and love for the game. Known for his dedication to player growth, mentorship, and teamwork, Dan’s leadership has contributed too many athletes’ personal successes and continues to make a lasting impact on the players and families he works with.
We are excited to welcome back Dan Worsley as the Head Coach of the 2018 Red Durham Mustangs. Dan brings a wealth of coaching experience and a strong commitment to player development. He has served as the Head Coach for the Whitby Fire Girls Ball Hockey team and Whitby FC Girls Soccer team, demonstrating his ability to lead and mentor athletes across multiple sports. As a Hockey Canada Level 1 Trained Coach and HTCP Level 2 Trainer, he is well-equipped to develop young players both on and off the ice. Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Dan played minor rep and junior hockey, fostering a deep love for the game that he now passes on to his players. With over 20 years of experience working directly with youth through coaching, mentorship, volunteering, and professional roles, he understands the importance of building a strong, positive team culture. His focus is on creating a highly competitive Tier I program that emphasizes coachability, effort, and teamwork, while also ensuring families are engaged in the process. Dan is committed to learning what motivates each individual player and fostering an environment where they can thrive. He looks forward to an exciting season and to helping his players grow both as athletes and as teammates.
