Director of Hockey Operations for the Durham Mustangs
James DeHaas transitioned from player to full-time performance coach in 2022 when he began working for Perfect Skating Durham. James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, having been drafted into the NHL. He spent four seasons playing NCAA Division 1 hockey at Clarkson University before transitioning to the professional level. James played three seasons with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the American Hockey League before concluding his career with two seasons in Europe. He thrives in the rink environment, where he enjoys teaching proper movement and skills to our Mustangs athletes!
