Congratulations to Head Coach Tyler Gubb & Co-Head Coach Aaron Cassidy and his 2017 Tier 1 Durham Mustangs on taking home the championship title at this year’s sold-out Toronto Cup Hockey Tournament!
The Mustangs displayed grit, teamwork, and elite skill throughout the weekend, battling against some of the top competition in the province. With high energy and a relentless drive, the team pushed through each round and ultimately clinched the win in an intense final matchup.
Coach Gubb and his staff have worked tirelessly with this group, and their dedication paid off in a big way. The players should be incredibly proud of their accomplishment — representing the Mustangs with excellence both on and off the ice.
We’d also like to thank the families and fans who came out to support the team. The atmosphere at the Toronto Cup was electric, and this championship marks a great moment for the Mustangs organization.
